Procedure for Asking Questions

At given times throughout the event, Gabor will take questions from the audience. To ask a question:
  a. “Raise your hand” in Zoom with the “raise your hand” feature, AND
  b. SEND your question as a PRIVATE MESSAGE to the user called “QUESTIONS” through the chat window in the zoom main call. Please ask your question directly and succinctly in 1 to 2 sentences

The event hosts Maurizio and Zaya will read through all the questions submitted through the chat window, and pass on to the presenters questions that they feel are best pertinent to the group at that moment. Please understand that questions are not necessarily answered on a first-come first-served basis. All your questions are being heard, and we invite you to trust the process. If frustration comes up at your question not being answered, you are invited to take the opportunity to notice your reaction and be kind to yourself.

Compassionate Inquiry (CI) Support Room

The CI Support Room is a safe space where you can go to connect with facilitators who assist Gabor in the Compassionate Inquiry training, for additional support. Please know that discomfort may arise for you during the retreat, and being present with uncomfortable feelings is part of this training. The CI Support Room is available if you are feeling overwhelmed and would like to briefly step out of the session. Our team of experienced CI Facilitators will offer support for grounding and integration.

Click here to access the CI Support Room (Zoom)
Time: November 30–December 3, 2023, 9:30am – 12:30pm PFT

You will arrive in a waiting room, where you may have to wait briefly until a team member invites you in. You’ll then be placed in a small-group or one-on-one discussion, depending on how many people are in the room. Please note this space is not intended to offer individual therapy sessions. It is an opportunity to rest and integrate.

Chat Guidelines

Chat will be enabled at the beginning of the sessions, then disabled for teaching and practices. Chat will be re-enabled during the breaks, for the closing, and when questions are welcome.

Trauma work can bring up a lot of uncomfortable feelings. Being present with uncomfortable feelings is part of this training. It is valuable to sit with those strong feelings instead of reactively expressing. This creates a much safer container for everyone. We ask you to consider that people can be triggered by over-sharing, which might also distract you from paying attention to the lecture.
