Thomas Huebl’s work explores and supports our quest for greater awareness, and in particular the implications of collective trauma for the development of our individual lives and for humanity in general. In this talk from SAND18 he points to the fragmented way we have learned to deal with news of global crises and atrocities, and our tendency to consider a mere understanding of the news to be sufficient witness to the event. The time has come for us to accept our responsibility for the world’s trauma, and work on the collective legacy that is alive in each of us.
