There Is No Moon If We Close Our Eyes

In a conversation from SAND18 Italy, two philosophers and information theorists exchange ideas about the nature of reality. Sharing the gift of using everyday objects as illustration they invoke explanations from Plato to quantum theory to investigate some age-old questions – like whether the moon is still there when we close our eyes. They ask the fundamental question, What does it mean for multiple observers to share a single world, when it is different for each observer? – and suggest that we are moving from a world of entities to one of relationships.
