Dr. Susana Martinez-Conde is the Director of the Laboratory of Visual Neuroscience at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. She has published articles in Nature, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, and writes the “Illusions” column for Scientific American: MIND. She is a member of the Magic Castle in Hollywood and the Magic Circle in London, author of the international bestselling book Sleights of Mind, and producer of the annual Best Illusion of the Year Contest. Dr. Martinez-Conde is among the premier science communicators in the United States.
